Rental Terms & Insurance Policy
Please read these terms carefully. By making a booking you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted them.
1. Who we are

2. Driving licence
A valid Greek or International driving licence, issued at least one (1) year ago, of the correct category for the vehicle, together with a valid ID or passport, is required.
3. Minimum rental, mileage & payment
- Minimum rental: 2 days. There is no mileage limit.
- Payment is made on pick-up of the vehicle (cash or card). The daily rate depends on the season and vehicle; your chosen insurance is added per day.
- Prices are per 24-hour day.
4. Pick-up & drop-off times
The vehicle will be held available for up to 1 hour after the agreed pick-up time. If you will be later than that, you must contact us.
Late return. If the vehicle is returned later than the agreed drop-off time, a charge for the delay applies. You have a 1-hour grace period after the agreed drop-off time at no extra charge; if the vehicle is returned more than one (1) hour late, a full additional day's rental is charged.
5. Insurance
Basic insurance is included in every rental price. Two optional add-ons can be selected per day at booking — the daily amount depends on the vehicle type:

The tyre & rim insurance covers damage to the wheels, tyres and the underside of the vehicle. It is valid on paved (asphalt) roads only.
Damage liability. With Basic or Mixed insurance, the renter remains liable for damage to — or replacement of — tyres and rims, as well as damage to the underside of the vehicle, unless the optional tyre & rim insurance has been added. Mixed insurance reduces the renter's maximum liability to the excess amount shown above (€400 for scooters, €600 for cars).
6. Fuel & charging
- Fuel / electric charging during the rental is paid by the renter.
- The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pick-up. A €20 charge applies for every ¼ tank less than the original level.
- For the electric vehicle, a €10 service charge applies if the battery level is lower than at pick-up.
- Unlimited mileage on the island. Helmets are provided for scooters.
7. Fines & penalties
All fines from traffic violations and the consequences of any administrative penalties during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter.
8. Delivery & pick-up
Free delivery and collection from / to the airport, the port and hotels.
9. Taxes
All prices include 17% VAT.
10. Availability
The company reserves the right to change the type of vehicle in special cases.
11. Transport by ferry
Taking the vehicle off the island by ferry is not permitted without the written consent of the company.
12. Cancellation policy
Cancellation is free of charge up to 30 days before the agreed pick-up date, with a full refund of any deposit paid.
For cancellations made less than 30 days before the agreed pick-up date, the deposit is non-refundable.
13. Liability & governing law
To the extent permitted by law, Porto Rentals is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. These terms are governed by Greek law (including consumer-protection Law 2251/1994 where applicable); the competent courts are those of the Dodecanese. A detailed rental agreement is provided and signed on pick-up.
